I attended the Swiss Chalet restaurant on Upper Ottawa St. in Hamilton earlier this evening and am upset by the lack of service we received. After we were seated no one came to take our order. We waited approximately 20 minutes before leaving as 3 other tables who were seated after us were served. We have dined at this establishment on many occasions and this is the first time I have had a bad experience there.
This is in regards to take-out. The dark chicken was pink all over and raw in parts. I couldn't even enjoy this meal and when I called the store, the manager was unhelpful and didn't seem to care about this very serious public health issue.
i had a great time there!!! the food is great and so is the service. My family especially loved the desserts that they had to offer and the friendly waiters! great place for lunch/dinner!
My family and I dined and Swiss Chalet this evening.. Is was extremely busy and when we asked our server, Kate, what the hold up was she explained how it probably had to do with the storm we had the night before and the one we were expecting tonight.My family and I eat out fairly often and have never been acomidated with a server who made us feel as if we were at home ..Kate was more then acomidating to our family and the other tables that she was taking care of around us . I have had Kate as a server prior to our visit tonight and I only hope that she is recognized for her excellent service tonight and prior to tonight and the other visits that we have had at Swiss chalet. Kate seems to make customers feel at home and relaxed .... Which is something my family and I have never expierenced at a restaurant .I will be directly contacting head office of Swiss chalet to make sure that Kate at the upper Ottawa and rymal loction has been acknowledge .My husband is in the food industry and recognizes quality when he sees it... I will never ask for anyone other then Kate at your location .

Secondly at least 7 of us ordered the super sundae. I have had this sundae in the past and it was excellent. The new sundae is just awful and we all agreed on this. It was not real ice-cream. it was a foamy type of something. There was a drop of syrup which was hard to find. No one enjoyed their sundae. I didn't complain to the young waitress we had because she is not responsible for the type of sundaes that you have chosen to serve now. My suggestion is that if you are not going to serve your original super sundae that had the cookie stick in it due to cut backs and money saving then just take the sundae option off the menu because you should be ashamed to serve it in your restaurants.
Katelyn Pearce is wonderful!! She goes out of her way to offer great service and make sure that everyone is happy! We need more staff like Katelyn! Also the manager, Vanessa and assistant manager Sean care about their customers!!
